St. Thomas More School's intervention program is designed to assist those students who demonstrate a discrepancy between their ability and their academic achievement in the areas of basic reading, reading comprehension, math calculation, math reasoning, written expression, oral expression, and/or listening comprehension. The program is individualized to meet the unique needs of each student. Students are determined to be eligible following a comprehensive evaluation that may include standardized tests, observations, and questionnaires. These are administered and reviewed by the evaluation team. Students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are seen individually, in small groups or within an inclusion classroom.
