Spirituality

The Mission statement that St. Thomas More students recite every day reminds each one that through worship, service and academics they are becoming a responsive student for a changing world. They are nurtured spiritually each day and throughout the school year by following these practices:

  • Daily prayer at the beginning and end of the day and before and after meals
  • Religion lessons taught daily from K-8
  • Faith based environment
  • Weekly School Masses (Friday @ 8:15 AM)
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent
  • Blessing of Throats in February
  • Two grade level learning service projects each year and two school wide service learning projects
  • Eucharistic Adoration once a year
  • May Crowning
  • Fr. Bill teaches the eighth grade students weekly
  • Sacramental preparation in Second and Eighth Grade
  • Opportunities to become a Sacristan, Lector and/or Server
